Maddox, James M. - Mr. James M. Maddox, 83 years old, North Mount Street, died yesterday. He had been in the shoe business, but retired a number of years ago. He was a stanch Republican and served two terms as sergeant-at-arms in the First Branch City Council--the first during the war and the other during Mayor Malster's administration. Mr. Maddox live in West Baltimore for more than 40 years, and at one time his home was at Hollins Street and Carrollton Avenue, the the farthest house out. He was the oldest and last of a family of 10 children. The funeral will take place at 10 A.M. tomorrow. Rev. E. L. Waston,of Harlen Park Methodist Episcopal Church will officiate.
